What are you most passionate about?
I am most passionate about being a mother and all things surrounding pregnancy and childbirth. I am also very passionate about any little projects I am working on in my free time
Do you have any hobbies/things you do in your downtime?
I love going on walks to the beach with Myla, Thomas and our dog Luna and any other adventures we have together as a family. I also always like to have a project I’m working on in my free time and I’m constantly starting new ones!
How would you describe your family?
Loving, happy and a little bit crazy
How did becoming a mother change you?
Becoming a mother has made me a lot more confident and proud of myself. I feel like its changed me a lot and made me into a much happier and positive person. I think I understand the significance to things a lot more now which in turn has made me a lot more emotional as well
What’s the best part about being a mother? The best part would have to be the endless amount of love and happiness I get to experience every single day. You really live through their happiness and achievements and it is the most precious experience that I’m so grateful to be able to have
Naming your children is always so difficult (or maybe it was just me!) Was it easy to pick your child’s name and why did choose it?
It actually wasn’t too difficult for us! We didn’t know Myla’s gender so we had a boys and a girl’s name picked out that we both just agreed on from a very early stage in my pregnancy. Myla Daisy is named simply because we liked the name Myla and Daisy comes from my great grandmother who sadly passed away while I was pregnant with Myla after her pure love for nature and in particular the flower Daisy.
Has your personal style changed since becoming mother? If so how?I wouldn’t say my style has changed a great deal from becoming a mother other then needing to dress to accommodate breastfeeding.
Is there anything about motherhood that has surprised you?
I was surprised at the amount I feel and love since becoming a mother. I mean, I always knew I wanted to be a mother and that I would love it, although I don’t think you can imagine the endless amount of love you feel until you are a mother yourself. It really is so special and every day and every moment is special and so meaningful and its still something that blows me away daily
Favourite thing to do as a family?
definitely going on walks down near the beach or just going out as a family. I also really love taking Myla to her swimming lessons during the week
What has been the most memorable moment for you in motherhood so far?
I think everyday is memorable for one reason or another although the most memorable would have to be Myla’s birth. Myla was delivered in the back seat of the car and amongst all the chaos everything in that moment was absolutely perfect. Your overwhelmed with so much love, happiness and strength that’s its something that will always stick in my mind and bring me so much joy
What are some baby essentials every new mother needs?
I would say you need so much less then you think you do!
we loved our swaddles/ muslin wraps that we used for literally everything. Face washers, we used these at wipes although they do come in handy for everything! I’m also really glad I spent money on a good pram that could do a bit of everything.
What are some of your favourite shops/websites for baby wear?
I’m a bit all over the place although I’m really loving the natural linens and cottons at the moment so I’m quite liking little a and lj and also the worn collective.
What is the one thing you want to teach your children? To be happy and kind.
Have any advice for newly mothers/mothers to be?
I would say just do what works for you and your family. I feel like the only times I have gotten upset since becoming a mother is worrying trying to do things exactly how everyone else says. At the end of the day, if your baby is safe and happy and so are you then what your doing is right so keep doing what your doing!
